i have excel file prompts user password, or otherwise opens file read-only.
only myself , 1 supervisor have password.
last week, went open file, , instead of pw prompt, greeted "file.xlsm locked editing 'another user'." message instead.
we changed pw, thinking perhaps figured out somehow... problem re-occurred, 3 times now. there no owner file (~file.xlsm) , have folder settings set show all.
when go general options, pw entered, box blank. not sure happened pw...
i've been scouring net, no 1 else seems have had issue - aware of causing this?
i should note file on 2 years old @ point, , we've never had issues before.
