Eclipse associates .js files with .sql editor -

all of sudden, eclipse kepler (build id 20140224-0627) associating .js files .sql editor.

preferences/general/content types -> js script shows file association:

*.js (locked)

preferences/general/editors/file associations -> *.js shows sql icon, , associated editors shows sql icon, followed

js worksheet (default) (locked 'js script' content type)

all .js files opened fine in editors. however, when using project explorer open other .js files, show sql icon, , when opened, every line has error next it, , top of editor tab shows

connection: (not connected)

followed regular sql editor icons.

could corrupted workspace? no error given.

google gives me nothing. i've restarted eclipse , vm. i've tried opening in clean mode.

i've tried adding new file association (for madeup file type *.foo) , when adding associated editor, js script editor has sql icon.

i'm wondering whether happened when had update toad extension because expired. ran problems while doing had gotten update eventually. however, see have 2 separate entries "toad extension" under preferences.looking @ installed software, see duplicate entries core plugin , oracle database plugin, quest , dell. i'm not sure should un-install... perhaps should un-install , re-install again? looks dell plugins more recent. hm..

update 2: tried un-installing toad plugins, re-installed core plugin , oracle database plugin eclipse marketplace. no change; tried opening in clean mode.
