Android screen stops reading inputs -

first off, has never happened before on other android device i've used (multiple devices have been tried , tested before this). have app have worked on little on year now, called automatedid (on app store) , has worked quite company quite time. have been given device add compatibility app (specifically reading uhf tags) isn't problem. problem comes whenever open app, screen stops reading inputs completely, buttons cease function. turned on developer options see screen inputs , suspected, stops , not read of inputs after app opened. clicks don't work, buttons don't work, keyboard doesn't open, hardware buttons on device stop working. it's mess, know have caused this?
